Accreditation process for the 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship begins

From 13 to 31 January 2027, the motto will be ‘Where Handball is alive’ at the eighth IHF Men’s World Championship on German soil. From now until 30 November 2026, all professional media representatives can apply for accreditation for this tournament via this link:

Important: This portal is only for journalists, photographers, online media and non-rights holders (radio and TV). All TV and radio rights holders should contact the IHF’s media and marketing partner, SPORTFIVE, directly, as they will be processing these enquiries.

Applications received after 30 November will not be accepted. Only fully completed applications from professional media representatives will be processed. Applicants will be notified by email as to whether their application has been accepted or rejected. All applications received by 31 October will be processed by 15 November; all others by 15 December. Upon confirmation that their accreditation application has been received, all applicants will automatically receive a login code for the accreditation system, where they can track the status of their application.

All media representatives can make changes to their application via the portal, as long as the accreditation has not been approved or declined. The only exceptions are first name last name and mail address.
