01Event
The 30th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship will take place in Germany from January 31 to January 31, 2027. The matches will be held in the following cities:
SAP Garden, Munich:
Preliminary round, groups A + C
LANXESS Arena, Cologne
Main round groups I + II, final round
ZAG Arena, Hanover:
Main round, groups III + IV
Porsche-Arena, Stuttgart:
Preliminary round, groups B + D
MERKUR Ostseehalle, Kiel:
Preliminary round, groups E + G
GETEC-Arena, Magdeburg:
Preliminary round, groups F + H
32 countries are participating in the 2027 Handball World Championship.
The following teams are already seeded for the preliminary round:
Germany (Group A) and Croatia (Group C) in Munich
Denmark (Group G) and Sweden (Group E) in Kiel
Portugal (Group F) and Iceland (Group H) in Magdeburg
Switzerland / Italy* (Group B) and France / Czech Republic* (Group D) in Stuttgart

From January 13 to 31, 2027, Germany becomes the center of the handball world! The 30th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship unites the best teams in Munich, Kiel, Stuttgart, Magdeburg, Hanover, and Cologne. The full match schedule is now available here.

The President’s Cup is part of the World Handball Championship in which the teams that have not qualified for the main round of the tournament compete. This competition offers the teams the opportunity to play for a ranking outside the top places, and it gives them extra matches to increase their international experience.
Applications to volunteer at the 2027 World Championship are now closed.
02Tickets
The IHF Men´s Handball World Championship 2027 will take place in Germany. Get your tickets here!
If you are planning to attend the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2027 in groups please fill out the form, including details such as the venue, ticket type, date, price category and number of tickets required, to submit your ticket request. Our team will then get back to you as soon as possible to discuss your options and finalize the details in person.
Please note that submitting the form does not constitute a binding reservation.
It is possible to purchase discounted children’s tickets. The “Children 5 – 12” discount category applies to children aged 5 through 12. Children up to and including four (4) years of age do not need their own ticket and may sit on their parents’ lap (without a seat reservation).
Wheelchair tickets:
Tickets for wheelchair users are available at every venue and on every match day. Tickets for wheelchair users can be purchased directly in the ticket shop. Tickets for wheelchair users include an accompanying person free of charge. With regard to the regulations on the mandatory accompanying person, the venue regulations of the arena to be visited apply.
People with severe disabilities (GdB over 70) and their accompanying persons:
People with severe disabilities and a degree of disability (GdB) of over 70 may purchase a ticket at the regular price in their desired price category. If the 'B' designation is listed on the disability ID card, a free companion can be selected and added during the booking process. On the day of the event, the relevant disability ID card must be presented as proof.
