The accreditation process for media representatives (excluding rights holders) for the 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship opens here on 1 October 2026 and closes on 30 November 2026. Accreditation applications received after this date will not be processed. Rights holders must apply for accreditation via the IHF’s rights partner, SPORTFIVE.

Due to the high level of media interest anticipated, the World Championship Organising Committee reserves the right to reject applications, particularly if they are not completed in full. It is mandatory to upload either a national or international press card or, alternatively, a letter of assignment from an editorial office. For international media representatives, priority will be given to media from participating countries. All applications received by 31 October 2026 will be processed by 15 November 2026; all subsequent applications will be processed by 15 December. Accreditations will, in principle, be valid for all six World Cup venues; there will be a inquiry of interest prior to the final weekend in Cologne.  A priority will be given to media from the four semi-finalists.
